The Pikes Peak Fund for Racial Equity has been established by leading community members and Pikes Peak Community Foundation to create a more inclusive philanthropic community in the region. Social capital and influence are often tied to one’s ability to give significant philanthropic gifts. Individuals and communities of color have often been underrepresented and overlooked. Through the Pikes Peak Fund for Racial Equity, donors of color are invited to leverage their collective strength, wealth, and insight to support and empower their own communities. Grantmaking decisions for this Fund will be overseen by an Advisory Committee made up primarily of members of this community. Initially the priority is to fund BIPOC serving organizations.
